Let's get cycling!
Today we're going to explain a few road signs that are specific to cycling, so that you can become a benchmark urban cyclist and no longer ride as if you were the only one in the world (it's better than riding in a car, but it's still annoying for other people). Let me warn you right away, for those of you who are used to not stopping at any traffic lights and passing within 10 cm of pedestrians after refusing them right of way, it's going to be very, very hard.
-Let's start at a crescendo with the first panel, the aforementioned B22a. It's round, it's blue (so it's not Pacman) and it's got a bike in the middle. It means that you are "obliged" to use the cycle lane in front of you. This lane is for bikes only, so it's safe to use. You cannot use any other lanes nearby, but pedestrians are also forbidden to use this one. So for once, you can yell at them and be right!
-For the next one, we're going to stick with the same thing, except instead of being round, this one is square... Is that OK? Did we lose anyone? Let's get on with it. This sign is a little less radical (according to some, quite the opposite of cycling advocates :-p). It urges you, without forcing you, to use the cycle lane, which is still reserved for you (a great luxury). However, if you wish, you can ignore the cycle lane and continue to annoy the cars by riding alongside it (and that's priceless). What's it called? C113 !!! (C15, C16, C17, C18, C19, C20, CELL...).
